lahaṇī huṇḍī (लहणी हुंडी).—f (lahaṇēṃ & huṇḍī) A bill obtained from a merchant who has funds in the hands of the person on whom another, who has not funds in his hands, has given an order, and sent to that person to ensure his acceptance of the order.
