lāhakī (लाहकी).—f or lāhakyā f pl (Imit. from lahālahā) Heaving and blowing from overheatedness of system. v māra, dē, ṭāka. Also agitation and distress from heat, sweltering, swelter; as aṅgācī or śarīrācī lāhakī jhālī. 2 fig. Excited or overearnest begging or hanging upon (as of a child); bustling and eager pressing more generally; hot and restless impatience; ardent aspirings. v or ṭāka with g. or vara of o. 3 (Esp. about Panḍharpur) Celerity or quickness (of execution or performance) in general.
