lāgīmbhāgīṃ (लागींभागीं) [or लागाभागास, lāgābhāgāsa].—ad (lāgīṃ or lāga & bhāga, or lāgīṃ with bhāgīṃ as by redup.) Near to or near, nigh, in the neighborhood of, in the adjacent parts. v yē, lāga, asa. Ex. phauja lā0 ālī; hā saudā lā0 āhē (is within bounds, is priced at about its value); tyācēṃ bōlaṇēṃ āpalyā lā0 āhē (his statement or speech is much about the same as ours); āmacyā lā0 ālēṃ tara karūṃ. 2 Sometimes the nominative lāgabhāga appears, and with idiomatic diversity of sense; as āja pāūsa paḍēla asā lāgabhāga disatō That rain will fall today, there is closeness or nearness (of indication), i.e. likelihood, not remoteness or strangeness; vāghāpuḍhēṃ jāṇyācā lāgabhāga disata nāhīṃ No consistency or reasonableness (nearness) appears in attacking a tiger.
