Lagakriyā (लगक्रिया) or Vṛttaprastāra is the name of a text dealing with Sanskrit prosody (chandas) for which no authorship could be traced (also see the “New Catalogus Catalogorum” p. 7). The Lagakriyā is a part of six pratyayas of Sanskrit prosody used for expansion of metres. The text namely Lagakriyā composed by an anonymous author, defines the objectives of Lagakriyā of ṣaṭpratyaya section. It starts with the introduction of arrangements of letters in the process of Lagakriyā.
