Labdhavarṇa (लब्धवर्ण).—a.

1) learned, wise; चित्रं त्वदीये विषये समन्तात् सर्वेऽपि लोकाः किल लब्धवर्णाः (citraṃ tvadīye viṣaye samantāt sarve'pi lokāḥ kila labdhavarṇāḥ) Rāj. P; यत्राहुः स्थितममृतं च लब्धवर्णाः (yatrāhuḥ sthitamamṛtaṃ ca labdhavarṇāḥ) Rām. Ch.7.17.

2) famous, renowned, celebrated; Mṛcchakaṭika 4.26. °भाज् (bhāj) a. respecting the learned; कृत्छ्रलब्धमपि लब्धवर्णभाक् तं दिदेश मुनये सलक्ष्मणम् (kṛtchralabdhamapi labdhavarṇabhāk taṃ dideśa munaye salakṣmaṇam) R.11.2.
