辣浪 [là làng] [la lang]—
To do as one pleases, unrestrained and uninhibited (隨心所欲 [sui xin suo yu]、不受拘束 [bu shou ju shu]).
From Plain Language History of the Five Dynasties (Wǔdài Shǐ Pínghuà), History of the Han (Hàn Shǐ), Volume One: "However, Zhīyuǎn (知遠 [zhi yuan]) was a person of an unrestrained and uninhibited (là làng ) disposition; when he had money, he loved to spend it, and when there was wine, he loved to drink it. How could he ever hold onto money?"
From Romance of the Western Chamber by Dong Jieyuan (Dǒng Xīxiāng), Volume Five: "The unrestrained and uninhibited (là làng ) Xiāngrú (相如 [xiang ru]), the fickle Zhuó Shì (卓氏 [zhuo shi]), due to indecision, abandoned his ambition of writing on the bridge (題橋志 [ti qiao zhi])."
