Source: What is India: Annual Report on Indian Epigraphy (1945-1952)Kyāsanūr is an archaeologically important site situated in Hangal-taluk (Dharwar district, Bombay), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Kyāsanūr there is a fragmentary stone set up in the village which records a gift of land presumably for the upkeep of the tank by Eragāri, Maṇiyamma and Pāḍuva Kaliyamma, when Śōbhanarasa was governing the two six-hundreds and Banavāsi-12000.
This inscriptions belongs to king Āhavamalla Tailapa and is dated Śaka 906 (984 A.D., November 30).
