Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammar1) Kvip (क्विप्).—Kṛt affix zero, added to the roots सद्, सू, द्विष् (sad, sū, dviṣ) and others with a preceding word as upapada or with a prefix or sometimes even without any word, as also to the root हन् (han) preceded by the words ब्रह्मन्, भ्रूण (brahman, bhrūṇa) and वृत्र (vṛtra), and to the root कृ (kṛ) preceded by सु, कर्मन् (su, karman) etc., and to the roots सु (su), and चि (ci) under certain conditions e.g. उपसत्, सूः, प्रसूः, पर्णध्वत्, ब्रह्महा, वृत्रहा, सोमसुत्, अग्निचित् (upasat, sūḥ, prasūḥ, parṇadhvat, brahmahā, vṛtrahā, somasut, agnicit); cf.P.III. 2.61, 76, 77, 87-92: 177-179;
2) Kvip.—The denominative affix zero applied to any substantive in the sense of behaviour अश्वति, गर्दभति (aśvati, gardabhati) etc.; cf. M.Bh. and Kāś, on P.III.1.11.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
