Kutarārkaka (कुतरार्कक).—(?) , name of a yakṣa in Kurukṣetra: Mahā-Māyūrī 57; dual dvandva, Tarārkakutarārkakau; division be- tween the two names uncertain, but Tarārkaku-tarārkakau seems implausible. Lévi, p. 97, refers to Tarantukārantu- kayor (loc. du.) Mahābhārata 3.81.178 (Calcutta (see LV.) 3.7078), which he calls the name of two yakṣas; but it is obviously the name of two localities (according to [Boehtlingk and Roth], tīrthas) in Kurukṣetra.

context information

Sanskrit, also spelled संस्कृतम् (saṃskṛtam), is an ancient language of India commonly seen as the grandmother of the Indo-European language family (even English!). Closely allied with Prakrit and Pali, Sanskrit is more exhaustive in both grammar and terms and has the most extensive collection of literature in the world, greatly surpassing its sister-languages Greek and Latin.
