Kurukucā (कुरुकुचा) refers to a “washing” or “rinsing” (of hands, feet, etc. with a large amount of water).—In his publication for the Journal of Jaina Studies, Yutaka Kawasaki collected in a non-definite list several rare Sanskrit words (e.g., kurukucā) from Malayagiri’s and Kṣemakīrti’s commentaries on the Bṛhatkalpabhāṣya: a 6th century commentary on monastic discipline authored by Svetambara Jain exegete Saṅghadāsa.—(Cf.
