Kuṇḍārcana (कुण्डार्चन) refers to one of the operations/ preliminary ceremonies related to the kuṇḍa (“fire-pit”), according to the various Āgamas and related literature. Kuṇḍārcana is mentioned in the Ajita-āgama (Kriyā-pāda, chapter 21). The Suprabheda-āgama mentions Samarcana. The Mataṅgapārameśvara (Kriyā-pāda, chap 4) and Acintyaviśvasādākhya (chapter 14) and the Pūrvakāmika-āgama (chapter 8) mentions Arcana.
