Kṣudraghaṇṭikā (क्षुद्रघण्टिका) refers to a musical instrument classified as Ghana (“those instruments which are made with some solid metals”) which represents one of the four kinds of Instrumental Music, produced by an instrument (ātodya), according to the Saṃgītaratnākara.—It can be said that as the word ghana denotes compactor solid, this kind of Music instruments are made with some solid metals. According to the Saṃgītaratnākara, the ghana kind of instruments [e.g., kṣudraghaṇṭikā] make sound when they strike together.
