Kraunch is another name for the Mountain Krauñca, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.37 (“The letter of betrothal is dispatched”).—Note: Krauñca [Kraunch] is the name of a mythical mountain said to be the grandson of Himālaya who was pierced by Kārtikeya and Paraśurāma.
