kōraḍikēṃ (कोरडिकें).—n A wooden receiver or confiner (of the bar or latch or tenon of a door, of the ēlēṃ or beam-yoke-tie of a kuḷava, pābhara &c., of the head of a stanchion or short post &c.); a semi-circular or concave bar-catch or rope-catch of wood ( or ). 2 The circular revolver (?⊙) of a Cotton-wheel, situate at the end of the kaṇā or beam. It is turned by the insertion of the finger into its central cavity, and it turns the wheel. 3 The reeve-block (without a pulley) of the kāmbaḷā- makers. Called about Ratnagiri kōrīṭaka. Note. The above three significations are essentially one, varied applications merely, according to technical or local usage; and, likewise, besides the above forms of spelling there are kuraḍukēṃ, kuraḍūka, kōḍakēṃ, chāḍakēṃ, chāḍakā, and probably others.
