空山 [kōng shān] [kong shan]—
An empty and vast valley (空曠的山谷 [kong kuang de shan gu]). In Chapter 25 of A Brief History of Civilization (《文明小史 [wen ming xiao shi]》): "It was as if I had lived for several years deep in the empty mountains, seeing no trace of human activity (人的蹤跡 [ren de zong ji])."

空山:空曠的山谷。《文明小史》第二五回:「猶如幾年住在空山裡面,不見人的蹤跡。」

kōng shān: kōng kuàng de shān gǔ. < wén míng xiǎo shǐ> dì èr wǔ huí: “yóu rú jǐ nián zhù zài kōng shān lǐ miàn, bù jiàn rén de zōng jī.”

kong shan: kong kuang de shan gu. < wen ming xiao shi> di er wu hui: "you ru ji nian zhu zai kong shan li mian, bu jian ren de zong ji."
