Koṇāghāta (कोणाघात).—striking of drums, tabors &c., used in the sense of 'a mingled sound of various musical instruments'; कोणाघातेषु गर्जत्प्रलयघनघटान्योन्य- संघट्टचण्डः (koṇāghāteṣu garjatpralayaghanaghaṭānyonya- saṃghaṭṭacaṇḍaḥ) Ve.1.22. (It is thus defined by Bharata :-- ḍhakkāśatasahasrāṇi bherīśataśatāni ca | ekadā yatra hanyante koṇāghātaḥ sa ucyate ||).
