Source: What is India: Inscriptions of the ŚilāhārasKoṃnijavāḍa is the name of a village mentioned in the “Kolhāpur plates of Gaṇḍarāditya”. Koṃnijavāḍa may be Konavaḍe in the Bhudargaḍ-tālukā of the Kolhāpur district.
These copper plates (mentioning Koṃnijavāḍa) were discovered some years ago while levelling the Khāsbāg grounds in Kolhāpur. It records the grant, by Gaṇḍarāditya, of two nivartanas of land in the village of Koṃnijavāḍa situated in the khampaṇa (subdivision) of Koḍavalli comprised in the Miriñji-deśa. It is dated in the expired Saka year 1048, the cyclic year being Parābhava, on the occasion of the Dakṣiṇāyana-saṅkrānti, on Saturday, the fourth tithi of the bright fortnight of Āṣāḍha.
