Source: What is India: Annual Report on Indian Epigraphy (1945-1952)Kolivāḍ is an archaeologically important site situated in Hubli-taluk (Dharwar district, Bombay), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Kolivāḍ there is a damaged Kannaḍa inscription on a stone lying near the village chāvaḍi which seems to record a gift to the god Mahādeva. This inscription is dated Śaka 1379, Īśvara.
