Kīrtiśeṣa (कीर्तिशेष).—survival or remaining behind only in fame, leaving nothing behind but fame i. e. death; cf. नामशेष, आलेख्यशेष (nāmaśeṣa, ālekhyaśeṣa); सरसीव कीर्तिशेषं गतवति भुवि विक्रमादित्ये (sarasīva kīrtiśeṣaṃ gatavati bhuvi vikramāditye) Vās.
