Kirakam (கிரகம்) noun < graha.

1. Planets, of which there are nine in the Hindu system, viz., ஞாயிறு, திங்கள், செவ்வாய், புதன், வியாழன், வெள்ளி, சனி, இராகு, கேது; கோள்கள். [gnayiru, thingal, sevvay, puthan, viyazhan, velli, sani, iraguvamisam, kethu; kolkal.]

2. (Music) The element of time-measure which specifies the starting beat of a song, of four kinds, viz., அதீ தம், அநாகதம், சமம், விஷமம் [athi tham, anagatham, samam, vishamam], one of ten tāḷa-p-pirāṇam, q.v.; கீர்த்தனத்தின் ஆரம்பகாலத்தை யுணர்த்துவதாகிய தாளப்பிராணத்தொன்று.
