khulā (खुला).—a ( H) Open, unclosed, not shut up or tied up--a place, a bundle. 2 Bare, void, uncovered--an elephant without his canopied castle, a horse unsaddled or without a rider, a camel without his palāṇa. 3 Empty, clear, open, unconfined--a vessel, house, space. 4 Open, free, unrestricted, in figurative senses: as khulīmudata An undetermined or unstated term or period; khulī cākarī Service which may be given up at pleasure.
