khōtavēṭha (खोतवेठ).—f Service or articles exacted without payment by the khōta or land-contractor. Some of the items are varaṇḍīgavata, pānapēṇḍhā, śākāraṇīmāṇūsa, ravaḷī, pāṭī, sūpa, śimpalī, havasā, bāḍhavaṇa, hātarī, taṭyā, hātara, nāgarajōta, bhāṛyālāṅkaḍēṃ, mānasambandhēṃ nāraḷa- supārī, bābabhāḍēṃ, ardhēlītirdhēlī. These differ from the items of kārasāī q. v. And both the lists are drawn up from the usage in the Southern Konkan̤.
