khiṭī (खिटी).—f A chip of wood; a little wedge or pin to be driven between bodies to open and keep apart, or to make fast and tight; a pin to a hook and staple; the peg or pin of a latch; a small wooden stopple; a little baluster or rail; a linchpin. 2 A small wooden bar or bolt (to a door). khiṭī ghālaṇēṃ (kāmānta) To interpose some let or bar; to throw in a hinderance.
