Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarykharakharamuṇḍā (खरखरमुंडा) [or ढा, ḍhā].—m A class, or an individual of it, of Musalman mendicants. They force attention and extort alms by fiercely gashing their breast, arms, head &c. 2 The attendant upon a hijaḍā or hermaphrodite on his begging rounds. See muṇḍā. Hence fig. 3 A penniless and destitute person.
