Son of Saddha Tissa and younger brother of Lanjaka Tissa. He was king of Ceylon (50-43 B.C.).

Among his religious works was the construction of the Kurundavasoka Vihara.

He was killed by the general Maharattaka. Khallatanagas wife was Anula, and his son was Mahaculika. Mhv.xxxiii.29ff.; Dpv.xx.12f.
