kēṇḍaṇēṃ (केंडणें).—v c To hinder, obstruct, embarrass. 2 R W To revile; to charge innumerable faults and objections against; to condemn and reject utterly. 3 kēṇḍaṇēṃ as a variation of kōṇḍaṇēṃ (To enclose) is used in numerous applications with some delicate distinctiveness of sense; as To arrest, detain, confine, tie down, shut up, fix fast &c. (a person under the deferring of a prospect held out, commodities brought to a glutted market, a bridegroom, bride, servant &c. under demurring or tardy acceptance &c. &c.)
