Kaṭabhaṅga (कटभङ्ग).—

1) gleaning corn with the hands.

2) any royal calamity or misfortune.

3) To break through a close rank of the army; 'कटभङ्गस्तु सस्यानां हस्तच्छेदे नृपात्यये (kaṭabhaṅgastu sasyānāṃ hastacchede nṛpātyaye)' इति मेदिनी (iti medinī).
