Karituṇḍa (करितुण्ड) is an epithet of Lord Gaṇeśa mentioned by Yaśavanta in his Vṛttadyumaṇi.—Yaśavanta author also says in the beginning of the work that “let Lord Gaṇeśa (karituṇḍa), who is compared to sun to dispel the darkness created by his own people, who is full of compassion, who is powerful in defeating the enemies, bestows auspiciousness to his devotees”.
