2) karaṇēṃ (करणें).—[a0] To disappoint. a0 hōṇēṃ or hōūna yēṇēṃ or paḍaṇēṃ To be disappointed. a0 māgaṇēṃ To take another's quarrel upon one's self.

4) karaṇēṃ (करणें).—v t (kṛ S) To do, act, perform, commit, achieve, execute; to form, frame, make. Used with the amplitude of our verb To do. 2 Used as v i To work or ferment.
