Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarKārakaviveka (कारकविवेक).—Known as कारकवाद (kārakavāda) also; a short work on the meaning and relation of words written by Jayarāmabhaṭṭācārya who lived in the beginning of the eighteenth century. The work forms the concluding portion of a larger work called कारकविवेक (kārakaviveka) which was written by शिरोमणिभट्टाचार्य (śiromaṇibhaṭṭācārya).. The work कारकवाद (kārakavāda) has a short commentary written by the author himself.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
