Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarKārakavibhaktibalīyastva (कारकविभक्तिबलीयस्त्व).—The dictum that a Kāraka case is stronger than an Upapada case,e. g. the accusative case as required by the word नमस्कृत्य (namaskṛtya),which is stronger than the dative case as required by the word नमः (namaḥ). Hence the word मुनित्रयं (munitrayaṃ) has to be used in the sentence : मुनित्रयं नमस्कृत्य (munitrayaṃ namaskṛtya) and not the word मुनित्रयाय (munitrayāya) cf. उपपदविभक्तेः कारकविभक्ति-र्बलीयसी (upapadavibhakteḥ kārakavibhakti-rbalīyasī) Pari. Śek. Pari. 94.
