Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarKārakacakra (कारकचक्र).—(I) written by Puruṣotta madeva a reputed grammarian of Bengal who wrote many works on grammar of which the Bhasa. vrtti, the Paribhāṣāvṛtti and Jñ āpakasamuccya deserve a special mention. The verse portion of the Kārakacakra of which the prose portion appears like a commentary might be bearing the name Kārakakaumudī.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
