Kapūrakacarī (कपूरकचरी) is another name for Śaṭī, which is a Sanskrit word referring to Hedychium spicatum (spiked ginger lily), from the Zingiberaceae family. Certain plant parts of It are eaten as a vegetable (śāka), according to Caraka in his Carakasaṃhitā sūtrasthāna (chapter 27), a classical Ayurvedic work.
