Kapphara) is a historical name mentioned in the Vividhatīrthakalpa by Jinaprabhasūri (13th century A.D.): an ancient text devoted to various Jaina holy places (tīrthas).—In the year 1291, Kapphara’s army sacked Gujarat. King Sāraṃgadeva (cf. sv) triumphs thanks to the power of the Yakṣa Baṃbhasaṃti of Satyapura.
