Kaṇapa (कणप).—

1) A kind of iron lance or bar; लोहस्तम्भस्तु कणपः (lohastambhastu kaṇapaḥ) Vaijayantī; चापचक्रकणपकर्षण (cāpacakrakaṇapakarṣaṇa) &c. Daśakumāracarita 35.

2) A weapon (like bomb).
