1) Kaṃṭha (कंठ) [Also spelled kath]:—(nm) the throat; neck; larynx, voice-box; -[saṃgīta] vocal music; ~[stha] memorised, committed to memory; ~[hāra] a necklace; —[karanā] to memorize; —[khulanā] to become vocal; —[phūṭanā] to make an utterance, to start speaking; —[baiṭhanā] to develop a sore throat; the voice to turn hoarse; —[milākara] in one voice, in tune, (with); —[sīṃcanā] to take in a few drops of water; —[honā] to be memorised, to be committed to memory.

2) Kaṃthā (कंथा) [Also spelled kantha]:—(nm) a patch-work garment; ~[dhārī] an ascetic.
