kalamadāna (कलमदान).—n kalamadānī f ( P) A pen-case or pen and ink-case, a standish. 2 Applied, in the humor of house-masons and furnishers, to a cloth ceiling of which the central portion (called tabaka) is flat and the sides are sloping along the sides of the roof; exhibiting to their bright fancy the form of the plain standish.
