Source: Wisdom Library: Vāstu-śāstra1) Kailāśakānta (कैलाशकान्त):—The Sanskrit name for a classification of a ‘temple’, according to the Īśānaśivagurudevapaddhati which features a list of 52 temple types. This list represents the classification of temples in South-India.
2) Kailasakānta (कैलसकान्त) refers to a subtype of the Samyuktastambha type of pillars (stambha). The Kailasakānta is a pillar with two pillarets on either sides.
