Jyotiṣka (ज्योतिष्क).—According to both the Digambara and Śvetāmbara sects the Jyotiṣkas are divided into five classes: suns, moons, planets, asterisms and miscellaneous stars. It is said that every moon has 88 planets. The nakṣatras are 28 in number. The planets are notweworthy in Jaina iconography. - moon (candra),
- planet (graha),
- constellation (nakṣatra),
- and stray star (prakīrṇatārā).
