1) Jyeṣṭhauli (ज्येष्ठौलि) refers to the “Transmission of the Eldest”.—A kramasūtra begins about the middle of chapter ten [of the Ambāmatasaṃhitā] and extends up to the end of it. This chapter as a whole deals with the Transmission of the Eldest (jyeṣṭhauli). The first part explains the preliminary, purifying depositions, the preparation of the maṇḍala, the ritual vessels and so on. The sūtra teaches the sequence in which the main mantras are projected into the maṇḍala and uttered in the course of the rite (i.e. the kramapūjā) of the Transmission of the Eldest. A more complete name for it would therefore be Jyeṣṭhakramasūtra. However, the context warrants the possibility that this is not a specific Sūtra but an earlier modality in which the teachings were transmitted.

2) Jyeṣṭhauli (ज्येष्ठौलि) refers to the “Lineage of the Elders” according to the Saubhāgyasudhodaya and the Nityāṣoḍaśikārṇava.—The three lineages (olis) of the Śrīvidyā school are also described in the last chapter of the Saubhāgyasudhodaya by Amṛtānanda, well known as an early commentator of the [Yoginīhṛdaya]. [...] Oḍīśa is the elder (jyeṣṭha) who founded the Lineage of the Elders (jyeṣṭhauli). He is Krodhamuni who is the leader in the Tretā Age.
