Jyeṣṭhāśrama (ज्येष्ठाश्रम).—

1) the highest or most excellent order in the religious life of a Brāhmaṇa; i. e. that of a householder; तस्माज्ज्येष्ठाश्रमो गृही (tasmājjyeṣṭhāśramo gṛhī) Manusmṛti 3.78.

2) a householder.
