拘耆 [ju qi]—(Jū qí) — [Animal] An abbreviation of 羅 [luo] (Jū qí luó). A bird name, translated as 'good-voiced bird' (好聲鳥 [hao sheng niao]). See the entry for 鳩夷羅 [jiu yi luo] (Jiū yí luó). From Xuanying's Translation of Sounds and Meanings, Volume 8 (玄應音義八 [xuan ying yin yi ba]).

俱起 [ju qi]—(jù qǐ) — [Technical Term (術語 [shu yu])] Simultaneous arising (同時生起 [tong shi sheng qi]). This means that two or more entities arise together (俱生 [ju sheng]) at the same time (一時 [yi shi]).

居奇 [jū qí] [ju qi]—
商人 [shang ren] (shāngrén), in pursuit of 厚利 [hou li] (hòulì), deliberately 囤積貨物 [dun ji huo wu] (túnjī huòwù) and sell them only when 價錢 [jia qian] (jiàqián) have been driven up. For example, "囤積 [dun ji] (túnjī jūqí)."
居奇:商人為圖厚利,故意囤積貨物,等價錢抬高時再賣。如:「囤積居奇」。
jū qí: shāng rén wèi tú hòu lì, gù yì dùn jī huò wù, děng jià qián tái gāo shí zài mài. rú: “dùn jī jū qí” .
