居簡 [ju jian]—Jujian was a native of Sichuan (四川 [si chuan]). His surname was Wang (王 [wang]), though some sources record it as Long (龍 [long]). He visited Deguang (德光 [de guang]) of Yuwang Temple (育王寺 [yu wang si]) and received his Dharma seal (法印 [fa yin]). Later, he taught Dharma (法道 [fa dao]) at Jingci Temple (淨慈寺 [jing ci si]) in Hangzhou (杭州 [hang zhou]). He built a hermitage (築室 [zhu shi]) and resided in Beijian (北磵 [bei jian]), north of the temple. He authored Beijian Ji (北磵集 [bei jian ji]) in 19 volumes and Beijian Xuji (北磵續集 [bei jian xu ji]) in 1 volume. He passed away in the 6th year of Chunyou (淳祐六年 [chun you liu nian]). 舉監 [jǔ jiān] [ju jian]—
Juren (舉人 [ju ren]). From "History of Ming (明史 [ming shi]), Volume 69, Treatise on Elections (選舉志 [xuan ju zhi]) Part 1": "Those who entered the Imperial Academy (國學 [guo xue]) were commonly called Imperial Academy Students (監生 [jian sheng]). A Juren (舉人 [ju ren]) was called a Jujian."

To receive (someone) with a haughty attitude. From Ming (明 [ming]) Dynasty Ling Mengchu (凌濛初 [ling meng chu])'s The Story of the Red Whisk (紅拂記 [hong fu ji]), "Prologue" (楔子 [xie zi]): "As an important minister of the imperial court (帝室重臣 [di shi zhong chen]), you must prioritize recruiting heroes (豪傑 [hao jie]), and it is not proper to receive guests (賓客 [bin ke]) haughtily."
倨見:以高傲的態度接見。明.凌濛初《紅拂記.楔子》:「公為帝室重臣,須以收羅豪傑為心,不宜倨見賓客。」
