淨飯王 [jing fan wang]—King Suddhodana – [Proper Noun] The king of Kapilavastu (迦毘羅衛國 [jia pi luo wei guo]) and the father of Shakyamuni Buddha (釋尊 [shi zun]). The Collection of Meanings, Vol. 3 (名義集三 [ming yi ji san]) states: "Śuddhodana (首圖馱那 [shou tu tuo na]) translates to Pure Rice (淨飯 [jing fan]) or White Purity (白淨 [bai jing])."

淨飯王—【人名】迦毘羅衛國之王,釋尊之父王也。名義集三曰:「首圖馱那 Śuddhodana,此云淨飯或云白淨。」

淨梵王 [jing fan wang]—Jing Fan Wang — [Heavenly Name (天名 [tian ming])]. "Brahma" (梵 [fan]) means purity (清淨 [qing jing]). Brahma Heaven (梵天 [fan tian]) is generally free from lust (婬欲 [yin yu]), hence it is called Brahma. Now, with both Sanskrit and Chinese terms (梵漢 [fan han]) presented, it is referred to as "Jing Fan" (淨梵 [jing fan]). It is the Brahma King (梵天王 [fan tian wang]).
