近處 [jìn chù] [jin chu]—
A place not far away (不遠的地方 [bu yuan de de fang]). From "A Brief History of Civilization" (《文明小史 [wen ming xiao shi]》), Chapter 35: "When Yùshēng (毓生 [yu sheng]) came out, he couldn't find Huǐshēng (悔生 [hui sheng]). He only thought he had gone for a walk nearby, but little did he know that he waited and waited (左等也不來 [zuo deng ye bu lai],右等也不來 [you deng ye bu lai]), yet he still didn't appear."
近處:不遠的地方。《文明小史》第三五回:「毓生出來不見了悔生,只道他近處走走,那知左等也不來,右等也不來。」
jìn chù: bù yuǎn de de fāng. < wén míng xiǎo shǐ> dì sān wǔ huí: “yù shēng chū lái bù jiàn le huǐ shēng, zhǐ dào tā jìn chù zǒu zǒu, nà zhī zuǒ děng yě bù lái, yòu děng yě bù lái.”
