Source: Shodhganga: a concise history of Sanskrit Chanda literature (history)Jīmūtavāhanadāna (जीमूतवाहनदान) is the name of a work ascribed to Kṣemendra (11th century): one among the Kashmiri scholars who glorified the legacy of rhetorics with a new interpretation of the soul of poetry (aucitya). A total number of 38 works (viz., Jīmūtavāhanadāna) have been recorded in the “New Catalogus Catalogorum”, which are composed by Kṣemendra. He is not only a poetician but also a scholar of high repute.
