The 順序 [shun xu] (shùnxù) (sequence) or 段落 [duan luo] (duànluò) (stage/phase) of an 事件 [shi jian] (shìjiàn) (event)'s 發展 [fa zhan] (fāzhǎn) (development). 如 [ru] (rú): For example: 'The 球賽 [qiu sai] (qiúsài) (ball game) has already 進入 [jin ru] (jìnrù) (entered) the 最後 [zui hou] (zuìhòu) (final) (jiēduàn) (stage).'

To judge and rule on a case (處斷 [chu duan], chǔduàn; 斷案 [duan an], duàn'àn). From 'Plain Tales of the Five Dynasties History' (五代史平話 [wu dai shi ping hua], Wǔdài Shǐ Pínghuà), 'History of Later Zhou' (周史 [zhou shi], Zhōu Shǐ), Volume One: "Guo Wei's (郭威 [guo wei]) confession and submission (招伏 [zhao fu]) were obtained, and he was then escorted to the Luzhou (潞州 [lu zhou]) Prefectural Yamen (府衙 [fu ya]) to await a final ruling."
