袈裟袋 [jia sha dai]—Kashaya Bag — A bag designed to hold a kashaya (袈裟 [jia sha]). When Zen monks (禪僧 [chan seng]) and others travel, it is used to carry various items such as the three robes (三衣 [san yi]), frequently used sutra scrolls (經卷 [jing juan]), ordination certificate (度牒 [du die]), prayer beads (數珠 [shu zhu]), hand bell (引磬 [yin qing]), and precept knife (戒刀 [jie dao]). It is worn suspended from the neck, hanging down to the chest.

袈裟袋—【物名】容袈裟之袋也,禪僧等他行時,盛三衣及常用之經卷、度牒、數珠、引磬、戒刀等諸具,懸於頸垂於胸者。
