浹日 [jiā rì] [jia ri]—
In ancient times, the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches (干支 [gan zhi]) were used to record days, and the ten days from Jia to Gui (甲至癸 [jia zhi gui]) were called "Jia Ri". Therefore, it was borrowed to refer to ten days (十天 [shi tian]). In "Discourses of the States" (《國語 [guo yu]》) - "Discourses of Chu, Part Two" (《楚語下 [chu yu xia]》), it states: "At most, no more than three months (三月 [san yue]); at least, no more than ten days." It is also written as "Xie Ri" (挾日 [xie ri]).
浹日:古代以干支紀日,稱甲至癸十日為「浹日」。所以借指十天。《國語.楚語下》:「遠不過三月,近不過浹日。」也作「挾日」。
