jhēṇḍū (झेंडू).—m A flowertree, Parkia Biglandulosa. Graham. The flower-buds resemble bnlls of red velvet. 2 m or jhēṇḍūphūla n Its flower. Applied also to the Marigold. 3 Because of resemblance in shape and color--The ball of blood (or bubble of water) which rises and is vomited upon the bite of certain serpents. v . 4 R The fleshy process on the throat or breast of cattle.
